In 2020, Chiesi was ranked by the Joint Research Centre (JRC) European Commission as the number one Italian-based pharmaceutical company for patent deposits1. Chiesi was granted 4,857 patents worldwide across all portfolios.

 

In 2020, investment in R&D continued to grow – with expenditure exceeding €448.3 million1. In addition to the commitment to Chiesi R&D, Chiesi continues to invest across all study phases with collaborations worldwide.
