Important update for patients using Alvesco® (ciclesonide) or Omnaris® (ciclesonide)
Supply of Alvesco® and Omnaris® will be discontinued in Australia following a third party global manufacturer's decision to cease production. This is not related to any issues with safety, quality or effectiveness, and current product remains safe to use as prescribed.
If you are using either of these medicines, you should not stop treatment suddenly. We recommend speaking with your GP or specialist, who can advise on the most appropriate next steps and, if needed, plan a transition to an alternative treatment over time. Support is available and your healthcare professional is the best place to start.
